Marco te Brommelströet, Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam, is offering an intense, 3-week summer course on urban cycling from July 18-August 7, 2015. Marco is known as @fietsprofessor (cycling professor) on Twitter and is starting up a new centre for cycling research in Amsterdam. He will be moderating the course with planner Meredith Glaser.
These summer courses are typical in many European universities, offering students an in-depth look at a particular subject area, including research, practice and implementation challenges in planning. This course will offer a mix of lectures, guests, workshops, cafe sessions, excursions, and of course city rides through the #1 cycling city in the world, Amsterdam. It’s going to be a great course.
Graduate students who are dying to go to Amsterdam and participate can check out all the info + application here: www.uva.nl/summer-cycling-city Spots are limited and quickly filling up at the moment.
