Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) Professor, Roger Keil, Master in Environmental Studies (MES) student, Michael Collens, and MES alumnus, Sean Hertel, are raising awareness about the increasing importance of transit equity in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). As the GTHA is vast and abundant with several critical transit-related issues, it is imperative that social and economic necessities of GTHA residents are considered and addressed in the context of developing public transit strategies and investments in an equitable manner, with no group overlooked and a focus on individuals struggling in particularly trying situations.
